Meagan is currently a counseling resident and holds a Master Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. She has seen over 70 different clients from all walks of life and has over 550 hours of therapeutic experience.
Meagan’s goal is to work collaboratively with clients utilizing a variety of scientifically proven therapeutic techniques and models (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Solution Focused Therapy, and Meditation & Mindfulness) in order to tailor therapy to best fit the client’s needs. Meagan strives to provide goal oriented therapy with compassion and humor to create a healing, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients. She has experience working with couples in conflict, as well as individuals addressing depression, anxiety, life transitions, substance abuse, and emotional eating.
In addition, Meagan personally understands and specializes in individuals and couples going through treatment for infertility. She has worked directly with the RESOLVE organization as a peer support leader and has extensive knowledge of the infertility treatment process. She understands the stress, grief, and other emotional challenges caused by infertility and works with you to holistically address them utilizing traditional talk therapy and proven mind-body therapeutic techniques.
