Valeria works with individuals and families and has a special interest in assisting couples. She has experience treating conditions such as anxiety and depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Valeria has also assisted in developing emotion and anger regulation skills, improving social skills impairments, and adjusting to new transitions. Valeria is interested in working with couples struggling with intimacy issues and difficulties related to fertility.
In her work she uses a psychodynamic approach as well as emotionally focused counseling. In session, she is very empathetic and utilizes her vast life experiences to foster compassion.
Valeria was born in Italy and is fluent in Italian. She also lived in France for a time and is fluent in French. In her free time, she enjoys reading and visiting museums.
